A community meeting will be held on April 15, 2008 at 7pm in Kleinburg regarding the proposed Off Leash park. To make this happen, we need a strong endorsement from the community. We hope you'll plan to attend.

- In December 2007, City Council approved the group to work to establish an off-leash location.
- The Off Leash Working Committee has been working hard for more than a year to find an appropriate site for Vaughan's first dog off-leash area. The top ranked site based on a thorough evaluation and review process is William T. Foster Woods in Kleinburg.
- Typical characteristics of an off-leash area include a fully fenced area with a double gate system for access, trash and animal waste bins and signage outlining the rules of use.
- Benefits of an off-leash area include opportunities for exercising and socializing dogs in an controlled and safe environment, while reducing the potential impacts to natural areas, wildlife and the enjoyment of natural areas by citizens.
